The summer hat with character. Soft brim, no stiff peak — ideal for bundle dyeing, as the entire hat can absorb plants and flowers evenly. The result is unique every time.
The canvas outer fabric contains a polyester content — this deliberately creates an uneven dyeing result. Cotton fibers absorb the color richly, polyester fibers less so. The effect: a vibrant, mottled pattern that no other hat displays.
Made from 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester. Lining made from 100% organic cotton. Pre-washed and pre-mordanted with natural metal salts.
You choose it on-site at the studio — we take care of the rest.

After dyeing, please wash separately – if possible at 30–40 °C using a mild, ecological detergent.
Do not tumble dry and ideally let it air dry.
This product is already mordanted with aluminum triformate – a gentle cold mordant that prepares the fibers for dyeing with vegetable dyes.
The stain ensures that colors such as madder, onion skin, walnut shell, cutch or avocado adhere better and shine for a long time.
You can get started right away – whether in a workshop or at home.
