Unsere offenen Formate sind Einsteiger-Workshops für alle, die mit den Händen arbeiten wollen, ohne Vorkenntnisse, ohne Vorbereitung. Du kommst, wir fangen an. Ob Buntmachen mit der Bundle-Dye-Technik, Blaumachen mit Indigo und Shibori oder ein Kids-Workshop: neue Formate kommen laufend dazu. Formate mit mehr Zeit und Tiefe sind in Planung.
PRIVATE EVENTS
Das cosmaki Atelier steht exklusiv für euch. Ihr färbt zusammen, arbeitet mit den Händen, nehmt etwas mit nach Hause das es so nicht zu kaufen gibt.
Wir bieten private Sessions für Gruppen, Kindergeburtstage, Teamevents und Brand Activations – mit Bundle Dye, Indigo Shibori und mehr. Ob JGA, Geburtstag, Familientreffen oder Teamtag: wir kümmern uns um alles. Ihr müsst nur kommen.

Where the color comes from
At the end of May, we cut the first nettles from an allotment garden in the neighborhood. A plant that most people treat as a weed. What could be dyed from it was also an open question for us at the beginning: extracted, set, discarded again, until the color was right.
On August 16, a small t-shirt collection made from it will be released. Natural dye is just the beginning. The rest remains our secret until then.

Natural Dye Studio in Cologne – Workshops, Team Events & Hand-Dyed Textiles
cosmaki is a natural dye studio located in the machwerkhaus in Cologne-Kalk. We dye textiles with real plants and make the process accessible through open workshops and private sessions.
Our formats: Bundle Dye for creating colourful textiles, Indigo and Shibori for blue dyeing, Kids workshops for children aged 4 and up, and exclusive team events for groups of 6 or more. All workshops take place at the cosmaki studio in Machwerkhaus, Dillenburger Str. 91 in Cologne-Kalk.
For businesses, we offer creative team-building events and brand activations in and around Cologne – using real natural dyes, no prior experience needed, with lasting results.
We upcycle hotel textiles and used fabrics, giving them new life through natural dyeing – stains become part of the pattern, no two pieces look alike. A service for hotels that take sustainability seriously.
In the shop, you'll find hand-dyed clothing and textiles in limited editions – dyed with plant extracts and minerals.
