Process:
Introduction (20 min):
- Short presentation about natural dyeing
- Overview of different kitchen waste and resulting colours
- Explanation of scouring and pickling
Bundle Dyeing with Onion Skins (45 Min):
- Demonstration of the technology
- Participants dye napkins they brought with them
- Steaming the bundles with a gas cooker
Cosmaki Stain Dye Technique (45 min):
- Introduction of the technology and colors provided
- Participants dye the clothes they brought with them
Completion of the active workshop phase (10 min):
- Explanation of the further process
- Distribution of the handout with tips and recipes
- Farewell to the participants during the break
Break (60 min):
- Colors have an effect on textiles
- Participants can use the time freely
Return and pick up (15 min):
- Participants return to the stand
- Unpacking the Bundle Dye Napkins
- Presentation of the dyed garments
- Questions and exchange
